Africa : South Africa - North West - Sun City page 1 of 13

Home to the fantastic Pilanesberg and Madikwe game reserves, North West has the big five, fantastic bird-life and wide-open African skies. The area boasts archaeological discoveries that go back to the beginnings of humankind, as well as the world-famous Sun City hotel complex, creatively dedicated to ancient lost civilizations and modern-day pleasures.

Sun City is a place to gamble, eat, watch shows and just stare at the fantastic architecture of the Lost City. There are two Gary Player designed golf courses, horse rides and a whole water park for outdoor amusement – even a “beach” with fake sand, real palms and artificial waves. At Sun City we stayed at "The Palace of the Lost City", one of the most enticing travelers' destinations in the world, a tribute to man's imagination and revered for its art and architecture. It takes its architectural and interior themes from a lavish lost African tribe fantasy and is fabled to be the royal residence of an ancient king.
