Istana Nurul Iman - the Sultan's Palace, is an impressive sight. It is larger than the Vatican Palace & no expense was spared in its contruction (USD350 million!).

The istana is open to the public only during the Hari Raya Aidilfitri, the end of the fasting month of Ramadan, when the sultan is often willing to meet his people.
