Asia

Asia is a land that conjures up steamy tropical nights, thick green jungles, larger-than-life Buddhas encrusted with jewels, golden temples, saffron robed monks, soupy rivers bustling with boats and colonial mansions on the edge of long forgotten waterfronts.

Exotic Asia is one of Australia's closest neighbours, and is easily accessible with an average flying time of between 7 & 9 hours from Melbourne or Sydney.

I have visited Singapore; Malaysia (Kuala Lumpur, Malacca, Langkawi, Malaysian Borneo - Sabah & Sarawak); Brunei Darussalam; Hong Kong; China (Beijing); Macau; Japan (Tokyo-Narita); Thailand (Bangkok & Phuket) and Cambodia.

I have also sailed on board Star Cruise's megaship - the Superstar Virgo - up the Straits of Malacca from Singapore to Langkawi & Phuket.
